This cross was commissioned in 2005 by my client as a Christmas present for her Grandmother. It was her first Christmas without
her husband of almost 55 years and my client wanted to give her a cross that would memorialize her husband as well as serve
as a reminder of her family’s strong love for her.
Pink is her Grandmother’s favorite color and therefore the dominant color of the cross. The cross is rich in other
symbolism as well:
Heart: Signifies her relationship with her husband as well as my client’s family’s love for her and
her love for her family
Silver Beads: 25th Wedding Anniversary
Pearls: 30th Wedding Anniversary
Gold: 50th Wedding Anniversary
Blue Beads: Grandfather / Husband’s brilliant blue eyes
Materials: Silver and gold beads, blue glass beads, freshwater pearls, glass flower “bead”, pink and
bright pink stained glass on wood base, grouted.
