How To Order

I hope this list doesn't look long and intimidating. I strive to make the design and creation process an enjoyable experience for my clients . . . I just wanted to give straightforward, specific steps on How To Order my artwork.

These steps walk you through ordering a Mosaic Cross. The same basic process works for all of my Mosaic Artwork.

1. Choose the size from the four sizes listed on The Cross Collection page. Custom sizes are also available by emailing mary@marymakingdesigns.com.

2. Look around the website (especially in The Cross Galleries) for ideas and possible colors and design choices. Don't worry if you don't have anything specific in mind. I can work with your vague ideas (or complete lack of ideas!) as well.

3. Fill out either the Order Form on The Cross Collection page or the Order Form below. Provide the information requested and include the information from Steps 1 and 2 above in the Comments section. Feel free to include any other important particulars. If you are interested in multiple items, please fill out the Order Form on this page and use the Comments section.

4. Check to make sure your Email Address is correct and submit the Order Form.

5. You will hear from me within 24 hours (unless I am on vacation or at a Show ~ these will be noted on my Home Page). My response to you will begin the design process, which often takes several emails back and forth. That's OK; that's what I do. I love working closely with my clients. Getting to know the person on the other side of the artwork is important to me as I believe the relationship is ultimately reflected in the final artwork.

6. Once the design is agreed upon, I will quote you the final price of your customized artwork as well as the approximate shipping date.

7. I ask for a 50% deposit on all custom designed artwork. This is payable via Paypal or by personal check or money order. If you wish to pay via Paypal, my Paypal address is mary@marymakingdesigns. If you wish to pay via personal check or money order, please contact me for my mailing address.

8. I remain in close contact with you while I am crafting your artwork. I send frequent status reports and pictures to keep you involved in the process.

9. Once your artwork is complete, you will be emailed a final picture. The remaining blanace is due upon your approval of that picture.

10. Your artwork will be shipped to you promptly upon receipt of your credit card payment or once your e-check, personal check or money order clears the bank.

11. You receive your artwork and fall in love. I would love to hear from you after you receive your artwork. And if your artwork is a gift, I would love to hear the recipient's reaction when he/she received the gift.

Gift Certificates

Do you have somebody to buy a gift for who "has it all"? Or maybe you're not quite sure what color or design they would choose for their mosaic piece? A gift certificate is a perfect choice ~ and always a well received gift.

Marymaking Designs gift certificates are available in any amount beginning at $20. Giving a gift certificate allows the recipient to work directly with Mary to create a special mosaic piece that reflects his/her tastes and needs. Recipients can use gift certificates towards any of Marymaking Designs mosaic pieces including crosses, picture frames and special commissions. The recipient can explore the website to pick out a piece or request a special order. 

Upon the purchase of the gift certificate, a personalized card will be sent via United States mail or email (your choice) to the recipient.  The gift certificate can be used anytime within the year following the certificate's purchase.

The Fine Print

Evidence that you can take Mary out of the law firm but you can't take the law firm out of Mary. : )

Privacy Policy: Information (email or physical addresses, personal details) provided to Marymaking Designs will never be traded, sold, rented or in any way shared with any third party. Marymaking Designs does retain the right to use images of your artwork for promotional purposes including but not limited to use on the website, marketing materials and Mosaic Notecards.

Completion Time: I try my best to complete orders as quickly as possible. However I have three very young children who are my first priority and I have also been blessed with a tremendous amount of interest in my artwork. When you place an order, I will give you an approximate ship date. The design/creation period will vary depending on the size and complexity of the item ordered and my current order load If you need your item quickly, please see my Rush Policy below. I will do everything within my power to accomodate your requests.

Payment: I request that your item(s) be paid for before shipping. I keep in close contact with my clients during the design and creation process so you will know when your artwork is nearing completion. For custom designed pieces, I ask for half payment when the order is placed.  There also may be special circumstances where I ask for partial payment up front to cover my out of pocket expenses. I'll discuss this with you when you place your order. I accept checks, money orders and credit cards via Paypal. Please contact me to make other arrangements.

Rush Policy: Rush orders are accepted when possible. However please keep in mind the mosaic process requires a minimum amount of time for drying and curing at various stages. Please inquire ~ every attempt to accomodate your request will be made. Add 50% over and beyond the usual rates for rush orders.

Shipping Info: I can ship my pieces anywhere you are . . . as long as you have an address of course!!! I ship via US Priority Mail and the purchase of insurance is required on all packages. Remember that these pieces are fragile and although I try my best to package them so they are protected, damage may still result. Arrangements can be made for Overnight Delivery at extra charge.

If you live outside the United States, I will ship to you once I have received payment and it has cleared the bank. No exceptions; I appreciate your understanding. Please contact me to make appropriate arrangements.

Damage Policy:If your item reaches you damaged, please contact me within 1 week so I may begin your new piece and contact the Postal Service.

Return Policy: My main concern is that you are happy. If you are not happy with your piece for any reason (other than damage incurred in the mail on an uninsured package), I request that you contact me within 7 days of receipt of your item. I'll work with you to create a new piece. Worst case scenario ~ I'll refund your money. I truly want you to be happy. I know it sounds trite but I'm not happy unless you're happy.
