Everlasting Covenant

This mosaic cross is based on the Noahic Covenant found in Genesis 9:8-17 and specifically focuses on the rainbow as the covenant
sign. To create the cross, I painted the wood base. The beaded lines were laid in curves to reflect the shape of a rainbow.
I then handcut each piece of transparent glass and grouted with crystal seed beads as I placed the individual pieces of tesserae.
The entire mosaic is transparent, leaving the focus of the cross on the rainbow.
