I have loved daisies for as long as I can remember. They are so gentle . . . yet fun and happy. I have always doodled daisies
in the margins of my pages so you could say I have had this cross design “rattling” around in my mind for a long
time.
In the Fall of 2005, a friend of mine asked me to create a special cross for her twins’ nursery. The nursery is
decorated in pink, white and light green. I immediately knew what I wanted to create ~ a beaded daisy cross. I got lucky
on my first try . . . the design was right, the beads were right, the technique was right . . . it was all meant to be and
this sweet, adorable cross was borne.
The beaded daisy cross has quickly become a client favorite and I have recreated the cross many times for new babies, Baptisms
and little girls’ bedrooms. The original hangs above the door in my friend’s twins’ nursery and brings
a smile to my friend’s face each time she sees it.
